*REQUIRED COURSES: We require that you take our online Orbital Epidural Anatomy, Blocks, and Pharmacology for CRNAs (6 CEUs) courses before you are able to attend the in person workshop. We will use those as a starting point to review and then move directly into the hands-on simulation training part. If you have already taken the courses you are not required to do anything further. We highly recommend you take all six courses, as they provide the best overall understanding of ophthalmic blocks and their complications. 

CRNA approved continuing medical education credits for a total of 7 hours. Please see below for details:

9:00 AM - 10:00 AM - Review of Ophthalmic Block Techniques including different approaches (Geometrical/intraconal/extraconal/medial caruncle)

10:00 AM - 10:15 AM - Break

10:15 AM - 12:15 PM - Ophthalmic Block Techniques/Hands on Simulation Part I 

12:15 PM - 1:15 PM - Lunch on your own

1:15 PM - 2:15 PM - Review and critique videos of Ophthalmic Block Techniques including Q&A
